Students Riot In Adamawa University,Yola, over Blasphemy Statement.

The Students of the Moddibo University of Technology, Yola, Adamawa State, have reportedly abandoned the campus over an alleged Blasphemous statement made by one of its students on WhatsApp against Prophet Muhammad which led to a violent protest.

This incident was reported to have on Sunday Night.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, The Blasphemous statement was posted by an Engineering student in their class WhatsApp group.
This led to the students making a violent protest in the institution.
Speaking on the development,  The Public Relations Office of the institution, Hajiya Halima Bala, said she has no details of the level of destruction in the school.
Mrs Bala further said that students have been packing out of the school following the incident but assure that the security in the school has been tightened to prevent further destruction.
Mrs Bala also confirmed that the first-semester examination scheduled to commence today (Monday) has been suspended.
She then added The University management is on top of the situation.
These were her words
“As I talk to you now the university management meeting is ongoing. After the management meeting, there will be Senate meeting for the next line of action to be taken by the university,”
