BDC  is the abbreviated form for Business Development Company , which is an organization that invests in and helps small- and medium-size companies grow in the initial stages of their development.

Mr Salisu was said to have sent a petition to the Efcc , stating all that transpired between them.

The High court required evidences to prove that he actually invested the money in the Bdc business, but the suspect could not give any trace  about the money.

After further investigations and prosecution, the presiding judge, Justice Abdullahi Yusuf was convinced the suspect was actually given the money based on hard evidence of the transaction, the alleged business he invested in had no commence day, no record whatsoever and the judge had no other option than to sentence him for 3 years in prison.
